Things I’ve Learned During the Pandemic 2020 – Part 1

One of my favorite Zoom calls to celebrate my birthday virtually

To say the least, it’s been an interesting couple of months.  We are navigating in unchartered territories, and it is yielding quite a different world.  The good part is that the world is going through this together and not against each other.  And it’s up to us to learn from it. Here’s my first lesson.

Spending time with friends and family boosts the spirit

Since Day 1, Scott & I have scheduled virtual happy hours everyday.  We have alternated who schedules each week.  Quite frankly, everyone (yes, EVERYONE) we have asked has graciously accepted, and it’s been such a fun time.  We enjoy developing our list of friends that we would like to chat with, and we enjoy the personal hour we get to spend with them.  While we miss meeting our friends and family in person, this has been a very cool experience.  Another thing I’ve noticed during these interactions is that no one is complaining.  Although there is still uncertainty of the impact of the virus, the laughs and smiles throughout the conversations have been wonderful.

Wishing everyone the same warm and fuzzy feeling of connecting with your family and your friends near & far and new & old. Stay tuned for the second lesson I’ve learned. Cheers!
